The festival will take place in Christian Lyceum Zandvliet (Bezuidenhoutseweg 40, 2594 AW Den Haag).

The building is 10 minutes on foot from the Central Station.

There is a bicycle parking space in the building that you can use!

You can park your car on the streets around the building (paid parking Monday-Friday 09:00-14:00, maximum 2 hours).

All workshops take place on the 4th floor of the building, a volunteer will tell you the exact room.

Shows will take place in the Aula, on the ground floor.

Here is a more detailed map:

In any case, there will be a volunteer to guide you!

Constellations festival offers two types of levels for workshops:

  • All levels: Everyone who is acquainted with improvisational theatre or a performance art that resembles improvisational theatre. For us, this means that this is not your first time doing improv.
  • Experienced: This means that you have been doing improvisational theatre for at least 2 years, which is equivalent to at least 4-6 courses, and having been on stage at least 4-6 times too.

It is an intentional choice to celebrate and amplify women’s voices in improv, which have been historically underrepresented. And we’re thrilled to feature an all-women teaching lineup.

The Workshop “The Hook and the Anchor: Creating Characters you Connect With (and Remember)” with Erica Maity will have a showcase, called The Matchmaker on Friday, 28-08, in the evening.

The Workshop “The Pods” with Trista Mrema will have a showcase on Saturday, 29-08, in the evening.

Yes, we wanted to give you the most value for money and have included in the workshop booking the ticket for the show that same day!

We recommend wearing clothes that allow you to move comfortably and with which you wouldn’t mind lying on the floor for improv classes.

Some players bring a water bottle (a water tap is next to the room), a notebook, and a pen/pencil.

In case your workshop instructor wants you to prepare and/or bring something specific, we will inform you via e-mail beforehand.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer refunds or swaps for tickets. If you can no longer attend your workshop, visit the festival’s WhatsApp group, there you can try to sell or swap it with another person. Especially if a workshop is sold out, you will likely find a person happy to buy it from you.

Yes, please click here to find the CoC.

The building of the Christian Lyceum Zandvliet has an elevator, accessible from the side door (see the maps in question 1), that can take you to any floor.

There are multiple toilets on each floor, with drinkable water taps.

Yes, on the same floor as your workshop (4th floor – next to the toilet area by the stairs), we will set up a little café area for you to take a break / have a coffee / or eat the food you brought.

Not confirmed yet, but by the time we have the festival, this might be the case.

Bezuidenhout is a lively neighbourhood of The Hague. On Theresiastraat (see the maps in question 1), you can find cafés, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, etc

More about this TBC

Yes, you can bring your own food. There is a microwave on the ground floor in the café of the building, but we would ask you to go there with a volunteer, as the space might also be used by other people and organizations.

We try very hard to make ImproNation and Constellations Festival a ‘Space for Everyone’, which, to us, means making everyone feel welcome. Despite trying our best, if you do find yourself feeling unsafe, unwelcome, or uncomfortable, we have a designated safety contact that you can reach out to.

Our designated safety contact will be there to support you; you will receive their contact information separately, so it will not be on the festival web page.
They exist to listen, support, and help out with anything else you might need.

You can write an e-mail to us: inconstellationsfestival@gmail.com
